Main Screen
New Action & Inbox
In the Main Screen you can find two buttons New Action and Inbox, to create new actions, and to access your Inbox section respectively.
Projects, Contexts, ...
You can find a list of yours Projects and Contexts, a Calendar section, in which you can browser over your tasks by dates. In Map you will find your located context, Flagged items you have marked as important, Search the section to find items and Logbook to track your daily activity.
Auxiliary Screen
Access the Auxiliary Screen by tapping in the button in the lower-left corner, this view will appear under the Main Screen.
In this view you can find Quick Access to useful things such as task you have to do today, tomorrow, next week or overdue. Also you can find the Help Center and the Setting.
Remember that you can access to this view in anytime that you are using the app.
Inbox
Inbox is where your items without assigned context or project are located. You can use the inbox for a place to quickly create all the items you have in your mind as quicly as it comes to you and then later assign it to some project or context.
Projects & Contexts
Projects
In the projects section you can find all your projects or folders (collection of others folders or projects). With the project icons you can know the current state of the project whether it has been marked as active, on-hold, dropped or complete. You also have the option to filter by the status of a project/folders to show. More information about filtering bellow.
Contexts
Similar to projects, in the contexts section you can find your contexts. Context is another way to organize your tasks and browse through them. With the icon of a context you can know the current state of the context and also if this context is located and which kind of location it is.
Quick Capture
Capture everything quickly as quickly as it comes out from your mind in the inbox, and then assign them to a project or context to categorize your task.
When you create a new item you can save it or you can tap on new to create a new task and save the previous one automatically without losing time.
New Action
Assign a title for every action and as an advance option you can also assign a project, context, start/due date, repeat options, flag to your tasks. A unique feature that allows you to record the moment an idea comes to mind is the ability to attach an image or audio associated to a task.
New Project
Projects have similar attributes as Actions. In addition, you can set the status of a current project. You have four different statuses to choose from: Active, On-Hold, Completed or Dropped.
New Context
Like Actions, after creating a title for a context you have the ability to apply different context status: Active, On-Hold and Dropped. Another unique feature, is the option to assign a location, you have four different ways to assign a location: Current Location, Selecting the location of one of your contacts, extracting a location from map or Searching by address.
By Dates
UbikFocus Task Manager is about getting things done on time, so most of the time you will want to know what you have to do by a certain date. In UbikFocus we proposed three different ways to browse and check what you needs to be done:
Forecast
Forecasting allows you to easily view what needs to be done in order to better plan your day or week. You can check tasks that are overdue, due today or what is due in a few days.
Month
Just pick the day of the month and you will see what you have scheduled. A dot appears on each day to indicate that there is a something scheduled or an event that day.
List
Here you can see all your tasks grouped by the day that it has been set that it needs to be done by.
Your Calendar event are integrated with every one of these views so you can also see if there is any event schedule. With this integration you can also add new event without exiting and opening the other app.
Calendars
As previously mentioned we have integrated the Calendar Events into our application, which means that you can see the event, create a new event and also select exactly which calendars you want to see.
As a defaults we have activated all the calendars, so if you wish disable one or some you just have to go to tap on Calendar on the home screen and tap on the lower-left button of the toolbar to see the list of calendars.
Located Context
UbikFocus will help you to decide what to do next based on your location or next location. When you tap Maps on UbikFocus home screen, it shows you the context location on a map that are closest to.
You can set the location of a context by editing the context. As described above.
With the release of the latest technology of the iPhone and iPad UbikFocus has integrated this technology to allow the app to know when you enter or leave the area that you assigned to a specific context. A notification appears in the iPhone's notification screen to remind you to get ready to get your things done!
Search
The Search feature located in the main screen can filter your items that contain a certain string of text. As you type in the search field, items will appear and disappear dynamically. You can search based on action, context, or project names.
When you’re finish your search, touch over the item you are looking for or you can touch the clear button on the right side of the field and make another search.
Logbook
The Logbook is a section in which you can see daily progress and productivity.
You will see a list of all the actions done order by date descending down from the most recent tasks.
